Legal Secretary (Commercial Property) – North west Leicestershire

 Permanent Role

Our client is looking to appoint a Legal Secretary in North west Leicestershire on a Permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a successful team in a friendly, innovative and forward-thinking business.

We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join our Commercial Property team. You will provide Secretarial and administration support to internal and external teams This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and a driven Legal Secretary to join a thriving team.

The Role

The successful Legal Secretary will be responsible for the following duties:


·         Preparing correspondence and documents through audio typing and word processing

·         Daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in line with policy procedures

·         Recording all client and matter details on the case management system, setting up new files and keeping it all up to date

·         Document production including lease, agreements and competition statements

·         Completing SDLT returns

·         Making appointments, arranging meetings and maintaining the diary for the Fee earner you will be working alongside

·         Attending to clients both in person and over the telephone, providing support in a professional and friendly manger

·         Providing support to other legal secretaries as and when required

The Candidate

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:


·         Experience of working as a Legal secretary ideally within Commercial property

·         Good knowledge of Microsoft offices

·         Case management experience

·         Exceptional customer service experience

·         High level of attention to details

·         Highly organised and able to to prioritise#

·         Able to hit the ground running

·         Highly enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile

·         Respectful towards others and have a positive, willing and ‘can do’ attitude

·         Keen to learn, interested in driving your own career progression and be proactive in taking ownership of this

The Benefits

•                     Salary guide is £18-21k depending on skills and exprertince.35-hour week. Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.23 days holiday plus bank holiday and a Christmas shutdown, pension scheme, life assurance and an employee discounts portal
