The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a HR professional who is seeking something that is fast paced, challenging and offers a flexible working / reduced hours offering.

The Role

Within a HR Advisory and Administrative capacity, you will have full autonomy in a true generalist role, including Health and Safety, working autonomously in a fast paced environment. Based at the site in North Leicestershire and reporting to the Managing Director, this is a very interesting multi-site role (3 sites). To be successful in this role, we are looking for an individual who can operate within abroad spectrum, provide pragmatic, timely advice at all levels, whilst being commercially and operationally minded in being accountable for the whole of the employee journey and life cycle

  • End to end recruitment at all sites ( direct hiring, liaising with agencies where required, onboarding etc)
  • Liaising with the payroll department, ensuring all relative information is communicated in an accurate and timely manner
  • Absence management
  • Conducting inductions, and ensuring the issuing of the Health and Safety Handbook
  • Managing the apprenticeship programme, and liaising with local colleges as required
  • Managing and administering pay and/or package changes
  • Advising and assisting with investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters, together with completing the necessary paperwork
  • Updating and maintaining personnel files
  • Sourcing, administering and implementing training at all levels
  • Ensuring training records are updated and maintained at all times
  • All H.R. administration
  • Supporting Company Payroll

The Candidate

To be successful in this role we are looking for an experienced HR Advisor with Health and Safety experience, preferably within the logistics industry. The successful candidate will possess demonstrable experience in excellent time management skills, as well as communicating with all levels, including Senior Management, drivers, warehouse staff and customer services, to name but 4.Whilst the C.I.P.D. Qualification is desirable, the ability to resolve conflicting issues in a timely yet professional manner is critical along with the ability to assist in developing a more engaged culture.   

Working hours are negotiable but expected to be around 24 – 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday preferred
