The Opportunity

A global market leader in their specialist field has a requirement for a Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee their monthly salary, reward and compliance processes for 700+ associates across 2 Companies, within the UK.

The Role

Working as part of a HR team and reporting to the HR Director, you will be supported by a Payroll Administrator in managing the provision of Company Benefits which include SMART Pension Scheme, PMI & Cash plan and a fleet of approx 80+ cars. The company payroll is supported by an outsourced bureau and so there will be extensive work in managing the partnership process ensuring validity of payroll data

 Input and submission of monthly payroll data to Moorepay for processing, in-line with agreed timelines.
 Responsibility for payroll operations & processing compliance and risk reduction
 Good working knowledge of the tax implications and legal compliance requirements of reward, including salary sacrifice schemes
 Checking payroll reports to ensure accuracy, highlighting and monitoring changes.
 Working closely with Finance department to ensure upload of reports into SAP is correct
 Dealing with P11d & P60’s, year-end submissions
 Manage the annual renewal of PMI/Cash plan, Life assurance, group income protection in partnership with our benefits provider
 Work with the Benefits provider on pension enrolment etc
 Dealing with Associates payroll and benefit queries
 Work with Fleet Company for the provision and replacement of vehicles in line with company policy. Managing the grey fleet for cash users.
 Manage and Support Salary sacrifice schemes, cycle to work, childcare assessments, and the buying and selling of holidays, in line with company policy
 Advising on any legal changes which may have an impact on either payroll or benefits
 Day to day supervision of a part time payroll assistant.

The Candidate

We are seeking a professional who has proven experience of payroll management, administration and statutory tax compliance. Experience with a Bureau is advantageous as is knowledge of SAP. Also essential is proven experience with overseeing the controlled process of employee benefits, specifically those listed above with company car fleet management being highly desirable.
