The Opportunity

A vacancy has arisen within a specialist manufacturer of a range of highly technical products. This opportunity carries a great degree of responsibility and autonomy in the performance of the manufacturing facility, reporting to the Site Manager and US parent.

 
The Role

You’ll be overseeing supply chain operations with 5 direct and 11 indirect reports

Responsibilities include but are not limited to Production Planning/ Scheduling, Materials Planning & Scheduling, Product Lifecycle & Change Management, Warehousing and Distribution/ Shipping, Purchasing of direct materials and communicating with Customer Services.

The incumbent will also oversee the on-going evolution and development of site Supply Chain management systems and all Supply Chain process improvements

The focus of the role is to achieve optimal levels of customer service & inventory, and effective capacity planning & scheduling with the appropriate level of resources. In managing the Supply Chain, this position is a pivotal role within the Site Leadership Team and is integral to key activities operational improvements and change management


The Candidate

We are seeking to draw applications from skilled Supply Chain / Operations professionals who demonstrate a strong background within manufacturing and/or engineering. You’ll need to be a strong team player, well versed in ERP systems, driven and self motivated with good people and process management skills

Ideally you’ll be used to working in a matrix structure as part of a larger group with an awareness and appreciation for different working cultures. There may be occasional travel required
